C20-22 ALKYL PHOSPHATE or STEARYL PHOSPHATE or BEHENYL ALCOHOL CAS NO 84962-18-5
How It’s Made
This oil-in-water
Emulsifier is a white granular solid made from phosphates and long-chain fatty alcohols in a standardized process. Its structural design provides stable emulsification, viscosity control and waterproofing in a variety of personal care formulas. The particles can be dispersed in the oil phase and the water phase after heating, which is convenient for flexible addition during the emulsification stage.
Role in cosmetics
As a non-ionic and anionic oil-in-water emulsifier, it can enhance the emulsion stability of sunscreens, pigment creams and wash-free skin care products, help disperse pigments and play a thickening role. At the same time, it improves waterproof performance to prevent product failure in humid or high-friction environments, and can also make the texture smoother and the skin feel fresh and non-greasy.
Keep Benifit
This emulsifier has both waterproofing and moderate thickening effects, and its performance is balanced; it can improve the physical stability of the emulsion, promote the uniform distribution of pigments, and enhance the ductility of the formula. It adapts to different pH values and viscosity requirements, and is suitable for various formulas from refreshing to rich; the particle form facilitates production operation and process control.
Application and Performance
Recommended for daily sunscreen, pigment cream, primer and light
Moisturizer that requires emulsion stability and waterproofness. It is especially suitable for outdoor skin care and long-lasting formulas. It can still maintain stable product properties in high temperature and high humidity environments. The recommended addition amount is 1%-5% (adjusted according to the required viscosity and purpose). It has good compatibility with a variety of emollients, UV filters and common cosmetic active ingredients.
